Luceris in Microsoft Teams
Help for the Luceris agent inside Microsoft Teams. If the agent told you it can't help yet, start with the first section — that is usually a setup step, not a fault.
The agent says it can't help you yet
The Luceris agent only works once your organization has been connected. There are two different reasons it will turn you away, and they need different fixes:
- “This bot isn't set up for your organization yet.” Your Microsoft Entra tenant hasn't been linked to a Luceris organization. Nobody in your tenant can use the agent until that happens, and installing the app doesn't do it on its own. Email us and we will start the process with whoever owns Luceris at your company.
- “Your Teams account isn't linked to a Luceris user yet.” Your organization is connected, but the email address on your Teams account doesn't match a Luceris user. This is common for contractors, and for companies whose Teams and Luceris email domains differ. Ask your Luceris administrator to link your account, or email us with the address you use in Teams.
- “You're linked to Luceris but don't have access to any workspaces.” Your account is linked but hasn't been granted a workspace. Your Luceris administrator controls that.
None of these can be fixed from inside Teams, so you are not missing a button. Once setup is complete the agent starts answering with no further action from you.
What the agent can do
- Report a problem in plain language. Describe what's wrong and the agent turns it into a structured work order, capturing location, asset, and priority as it goes.
- Ask about work orders and assets. Open work, history, and asset details for the workspaces you have access to.
- Receive agent alerts. Luceris agents post alerts for your workspaces into your chat with the agent.
Commands
Send these to the agent in a direct chat:
workspace— choose which workspace the conversation works in. Useful when you have access to more than one. Send it again any time to switch.notifications— turn agent alerts on or off for yourself.
Where the agent works
Today the agent works in a direct chat with you. If you message it from a channel or a group chat it will say so and point you back to a direct message. Channel support is on the way.
A note on AI
The agent uses generative AI. It can be incomplete or wrong, so check anything you act on — particularly work-order details before you submit them. The agent cannot write to your systems of record without your explicit approval. If it produces a response that looks wrong or inappropriate, tell us and we will look into it.
For administrators
Connecting a Microsoft Teams tenant is a one-time setup. You will need:
- Your Microsoft Entra tenant ID, from the Entra admin center overview.
- A Teams administrator who can make the Luceris app available to your users.
- An existing Luceris organization with your source system connected and workspace data synced.
We link the tenant on our side before your users install, so the order matters. Email us and we will walk you through it. Users are matched to their Luceris account by email address; for anyone whose Teams address differs, we can add a manual link.
Still stuck
Email support@luceris.ai and tell us your organization name, the email address you use in Teams, and what the agent said. We aim to reply within one business day. For anything not specific to Teams, see general support.
